Market enthusiasm is building as Jio Platforms prepares for its official listing, with unofficial trading indicators suggesting a robust start for the telecom giant. In the gray market, where investors trade shares before they hit the public exchange, premiums have climbed significantly. On the morning of the listing, these shares were commanding a premium of 247 rupees, signaling that traders expect the stock to open well above its initial offering.

Based on current trends, analysts anticipate an opening price around 1,366 rupees. This would represent a jump of roughly 22 percent over the established issue price of 1,119 rupees. Such a strong showing in the gray market typically reflects high investor confidence and significant demand for the shares ahead of their formal debut on the trading floor.

This optimistic outlook stands in stark contrast to other companies entering the market this week. Paras Healthcare is also scheduled for a Wednesday listing, but sentiment there remains muted. As of late October, its gray market premium sat at a meager 13 rupees against an issue price of 1,450 rupees, highlighting a clear divide in how investors are valuing these two upcoming debuts.
